Dates: 3-7 March 2022

Embracing Italy’s Rich Heritage through AR

Our journey begins in Italy, where the host organization presents a local touristic guide, enriched with Augmented Reality (AR). This guide will offer participants and local community guests an immersive experience of Italy’s culture, history, cuisine, and other distinct characteristics. The creation of this AR touristic guide, a collaborative effort agreed upon at the project’s inception, sets the stage for peer learning and teamwork.

Fostering Skills for the Future

Participants will delve into a series of activities designed to enhance their AR competences. By engaging in teamwork with peers and during partner visits, they’ll develop critical and design thinking skills. An integral part of this LTTA is the creation of a virtual space providing in-depth information about building materials’ Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). Understanding LCA is crucial for making informed decisions about materials and products, offering dual benefits to students: educational and practical.

Interactive Learning Groups

Participants, comprising four students from each participating country and two teachers, will engage in hands-on learning. The host country will contribute additional students and teachers for workshop facilitation and organizational support.

For Teachers:

Monitoring and assisting in the creation of an AR e-flyer on climate change.
Guiding students in designing e-tasks on various subjects using AR.
Participating in project management meetings and AR app development using Unity Engine.
For Students:
Providing feedback on AR touristic guide videos.
Developing AR apps and tasks on chosen subjects.
Collaborating in sub-groups to create an e-flyer focused on climate change.
Objectives and Outcomes

Participants will gain skills in ICT and AR, intercultural competence, and design thinking. Activities are tailored to strengthen knowledge on selected topics and improve English proficiency. All participants will emerge more self-confident, independent, and goal-oriented. Teachers will also find opportunities for professional development and collaboration with students.
