Addressing Real-World Issues with AR
Participants will engage in brainstorming sessions and activities, utilizing AR to find solutions to problems such as the impacts of the pandemic on education, social life issues in teenagers, school dropout rates, and low self-esteem and confidence. This LTTA is particularly relevant in Macedonia, a country that has faced significant challenges in recent years, including the coronavirus crisis and immigration issues.
Collaborative Learning and Problem-Solving
Participants, including teachers and students from various countries, will be grouped to maximize collaboration and idea exchange.
Teachers:
- Guide students in designing and creating two e-tasks, both general and professional, preselected by the host country.
- Prepare AR applications using Unity Engine.
- Participate in management meetings and focus on chosen problems.
- Develop an e-flyer using AR to address the identified problems.
- Engage with eTwinning and other social platforms, sharing their expertise in these areas.
Students:
- Provide feedback on AR-enhanced local touristic guides.
- Develop AR applications and e-tasks, focusing on brainstormed problems.
- Engage in design thinking processes to develop solutions.
- Objectives and Outcomes
This LTTA aims to develop digital and social competences through creative and collaborative problem-solving using AR technology. Participants will gain insights into overcoming real-life problems, enhancing their skills in AR application development and design thinking.
Deliverables and Schedule
Results: The event will produce e-tasks with AR integration, an online touristic guide, an AR e-flyer on overcoming problems, and certificates and Europasses for participants.
Daily Itinerary:
Day 1: Introduction of partners with an AR touristic guide, team formation, and AR class.
Day 2: AR lab sessions on material preparation and problem identification, plus a teacher management meeting.
Day 3: AR lab workshops for content preparation in AR format, image track conversion using Unity and Vuforia.
Day 4: Workshops for 3D integration using Mixamo and Blender, with a focus on project procedures.
Day 5: Finalizing e-tasks and the flyer, followed by an evaluation session.
